The Australian Reinforcing Company (ARC) is a local supplier of steel reinforcing that Australians have trusted for more than 100 years. ARC is looking for a new team member to join our Wollongong branch as an Operator where you will be operating machinery to shape & cut reinforcing bar.
You’ll become part of a small yet high-performing team where your responsibilities will include achieving KPIs and fostering a safety-first culture. Being a part of ARC provides a valuable chance to acquire hands-on experience in steel processing, pre-fabrication, and distribution. As a key member of the team you will:
- Operate machinery to shape and cut reinforcing bar and mesh
- Operate a forklift and overhead crane
- Accurately pick and pack orders
- Load and unload trucks for customers or our drivers
- Promote and contribute to a safe workplace
- To be successful in this role you will value collaborative working environments and promote a safety-first culture. You thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume role that requires attention to detail and time management skills to meet KPIs.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- A willingness to learn new skills and have a can-do attitude
- A safety focused mindset
- Thrives in a team environment
- Prior experience operating machinery
- Forklift license and experience is preferred but not essential
- Overhead crane experience is preferred but not essential
- HR Truck License is preferred but not essential
