It came into existence by a merger of National Shipping Corporation (NSC) and Pakistan Shipping Corporation in 1979 through Pakistan National Shipping Corporation Ordinance No. XX,1979 [Gazette of Pakistan, extra-ordinary Part I, 29 March 1979], which has the constitutional protection. It is autonomous and managed by the Board of Directors. The Corporation’s head office is located in Karachi. The Corporation also has an extensive overseas network of agents looking after its world wide shipping business.

Pre Requisites For The Post of An Assistant Manager
Graduate degree in marketing / sales / commerce / SCM / business development / management and maritime from HEC recognized institution.
At least 05 years working experience in sales / operations / documentation in the field of freight forwarding, console, NVOCC and import / export documentations with reputable NOVCC / freight forwarding companies / shipping lines.
