Your New Role as Commercial Manager

As our Commercial Manager, you’ll dive deep into the technicalities of contracts and RFP documents, steering clear of the nitty-gritty legal terms. Your mission? To sharpen our competitive edge by minimizing risks and maximizing revenue and profits for Transguard Group.

What You’ll Do

Risk Management Mastery

•  Thoroughly examine all RFPs, agreements, purchase orders, letters of authorization, and any binding documents, pinpointing any potential risks.
•  Collaborate closely with solution teams or the opportunity owner to ensure risks are accounted for in our solutions or pricing strategies.
•  Proactively identify and report any risky debt positions, especially with potential new clients who are part of larger corporate families.
•  Make sure any contract changes are officially recorded through addendums, purchase orders, or variation orders.
•  Partner with Account Management teams to minimize ‘Working at Risk’ scenarios.
•  Stay vigilant on renewal risks and communicate these to the Business Unit Head or Director.

Training Innovator

•  Craft bespoke presentations tailored to each Business Unit, enhancing commercial acumen across the company.
•  Lead commercial training for Operational Management teams, clarifying key contract terms, milestones, and deliverables.
•  Enlighten teams on KPI impacts and the financial implications of not meeting them.
•  Guide teams on managing contract variations, including when to adjust pricing or decline client requests.

General Commercial Wizardry

•  Constantly seek out strategies to boost contract profitability.
•  Take charge in meetings, driving action plans towards achieving collective objectives.
•  Engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding.
•  Present risks and strategic recommendations to the Senior Leadership team with confidence.

Who You Are

•  A seasoned professional with 4 years in the industry and 2 years in a leadership capacity.
•  Educated with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Law, or a related field, or you might be a skilled Quantity Surveyor.

Your Skill Set

•  Adept at dissecting complex technical documents.
•  If you’re versed in Microsoft BI, that’s a bonus!
•  A negotiation maestro with a penchant for Excel.
•  Exceptional at interpersonal connections, with a keen analytical mind.
•  Articulate in both written and verbal communication.
