Position Summary

The Director of Clinical Operations plays a pivotal role in steering and refining the clinical operations within our healthcare facilities. This is a role for a visionary leader who excels in strategic planning, operational prowess, and collaborative efforts to uphold the highest patient care standards and enhance operational effectiveness at our location.

Key Duties of Director Clinical Operations

Operational Leadership

•  Champion the strategic goals of M42, spearheading quality enhancements and embracing change.
•  Innovate and streamline operational frameworks, processes, and policies, focusing on management reporting, information flow, and strategic planning.
•  Establish robust data collection methods to inform decision-making, ensuring consistent reporting of data and key performance indicators to the leadership.
•  Scrutinize both clinical and administrative data to spot trends and results, leveraging this insight to drive improvements and strategic choices.
•  Work in tandem with M42’s upper management to create cohesive service offerings throughout the patient care continuum.
•  Oversee service delivery, guaranteeing evidence-based, patient-focused care and judicious use of resources.
•  Engage with various departments, including administration and finance, to refine interdepartmental processes and meet organizational goals.
•  Assess and secure the necessary resources in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure exemplary patient care.
•  Propel ongoing enhancement efforts, delve into team dynamics, and assess customer service needs.
•  Support and enforce audit processes, adherence to clinical pathways, regulations, KPIs, and fiscal plans.
•  Propose and implement efficiency improvements, process enhancements, and program development.
•  Cultivate strong alliances with stakeholders to bolster business growth, patient engagement, and service expansion.
•  Assist the senior leadership in elevating organizational effectiveness.

Team Management and Development

•  Lead and mentor clinical teams, nurturing a culture of teamwork, responsibility, and perpetual improvement.
•  Oversee staffing strategies and budget management for assigned services.
•  Hire, coach, and develop clinical personnel to uphold excellence in care and professional standards.
•  Provide performance feedback to encourage staff advancement and professional growth.
•  Champion staff development aligned with the strategic vision of the organization.
•  Promote a culture of organizational growth, identifying and implementing impactful improvement tactics.
•  Uphold clinical excellence, customer service, and professional integrity to achieve goal-oriented results.
•  Implement succession planning, foster teamwork, and mediate conflicts.
•  Lead key committees, enhancing collaboration and resolving disputes.
•  Protect patient, family, and organizational privacy in line with M42 policies and guidelines.
•  Facilitate clear communication among patients, families, and staff to guarantee service excellence.
•  Establish and respect professional boundaries with patients and healthcare team members.
•  Model exemplary behavior and drive change within the team.
•  Ensure adherence to current Labor Law standards.
•  Execute additional tasks as assigned by the Executive Management.

Quality and Patient Safety

•  Promote a culture dedicated to performance improvement and patient safety.
•  Ensure the M42 Quality Management Plan is actively followed and implemented by all staff.
•  Guarantee dignified and respectful treatment of all patients and families.
•  Oversee the investigation of reported incidents by the clinical team, coordinating with the Quality and Risk Manager to ensure comprehensive reviews and appropriate actions.
•  Participate in accreditation processes.
•  Conduct risk assessments and document actions to enhance patient outcomes.
•  Audit adherence to organizational documentation standards.
•  Support and engage in continuous education within one’s professional capacity to benefit the entire organization.
•  Encourage and integrate evidence-based practices to foster a research-oriented clinical environment.
•  Monitor and bolster organizational performance indicators and clinical benchmarks, guiding corrective measures to improve clinical services.
•  Ensure compliance with both international and local health regulatory patient safety objectives.
•  Report on departmental metrics, such as sick leave and utilization rates.
•  Ensure staff maintain a professional demeanor, attitude, and customer service that reflects positively on the organization.
•  Encourage teamwork, effective communication, and the delivery of top-tier health services in line with health, safety, and environmental policies.

Required Qualifications

Education

•  A Clinical Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification.
•  A postgraduate degree in operations or a related field is preferred.

Experience

•  A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in a comparable or senior clinical operations position.
•  A proven track record in managing and leading teams.
