Dock Supervisor Required In Irving, Canada Full Time

Responsibilities

• Developing and training dock employees
• Achieving and improving dock KPI goals
• Ensure Equity and Occupational Health & Safety at the dock
• Ensure employees adhere to company procedures and policies
• Review and control costs
• Weekend reefer check rotation
• Operate shunt truck/straight truck if required
• Assist in achieving Terminal and Company Goals such as on-time delivery, safety, and claims

Qualifications

• Years of Experience Required: 4-7 years
• Education: Trade Certificate or College Diploma
• Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to analyze and solve problems with strong attention to detail
• Strong sense of urgency
• Superior organizational and time management skills
• Knowledge of AS400 and MS Office
• Cross dock and forklift experience
• Knowledge of productivity measures
• Working knowledge of different types of trailer equipment
• Shunting capabilities / straight truck movement knowledge
• Class 1 Driver’s License is considered as asset
