About the job
- Monday to Friday starting around 6am and finishing no later than 5pm.
- Rostered On-Call and occasional Saturday mornings
- Time and a half paid on Saturdays*
- Burnside, Dunedin location
- You’ll be responsible for delivering LPG gas cylinders to homes and businesses all around the region. You’ll be dealing with customers face-to-face, and at times might need to answer questions or offer them solutions. We’ll make sure you have all the training and support needed, so you are confident in giving accurate information.
As you’ll be handling dangerous goods, you need great attention to detail and a strong commitment to health and safety.
Other duties include
- Completing vehicle safety checks
- Organizing delivery runs
- Loading product onto the truck
- Delivering pre-filled LPG cylinders and taking away the empties
What’s in it for you

What you need to be successful:
You have a clean Class 2 license with at least 6 months Class 2 driving experience and can drive a manual transmission, along with:
- Previous experience delivering goods
- Be physically fit, with the ability to lift heavy items when doing deliveries
- Dangerous Goods license and LPG filling experience (or be willing to undergo training)
- Being flexible and adaptable with a strong focus on customer service
- Able to use handheld computer delivery equipment
- A proactive approach and responsibility towards Health and Safety.
- Satisfactorily pass background checks such as: Criminal & ACC history, medical and Drug & Alcohol screening.
- Be a team player with a can-do attitude and the flexibility to meet the demands of the operation
- Must be a NZ resident or hold a valid NZ work permit and be residing in the country
