The Opportunity

• We are looking for an experienced and motivated class 5 Truck Driver to join the Fulton Hogan Transport Team in Nelson and help deliver the good work Fulton Hogan is known for. This is a role where you can put your previous experience as a transport driver to use.
• The role will involve working with aggregates, loading and unloading, hauling material to and from various work sites while ensuring plant is in safe working condition. This operation is driven by a customer and relationship focus, weekend and shift work will be required so flexibility is a must and there may be times when the work is away from Nelson.

The right candidate will be able to:

• Understand and embrace our Living Safely approach.
• Operate heavy vehicles, and other road construction equipment, including general maintenance to best practice.
• Take personal responsibility for the safety of your workmates, the environment, public and yourself.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with the relevant job and work instruction.
• What you’ll bring to the table
• Class 5 Driver License
• WTR endorsements will be an advantage (not necessary but would help)
• Experience working in a construction environment or a willingness to learn
• Understanding of and compliance with NZ Transport Regulations
• A good attitude towards maintenance and care of machinery
• Have an unwavering commitment towards living safely with a safety record to match.
• Be a reliable individual with a strong work ethic.
