Farm-Station Hands Required In Consolidated Pastora, Australia Full Time
Consolidated Pastoral Company (CPC) is a leading Australian managed, UK owned Agribusiness with strong ESG values. CPC owns and operates a portfolio of nine station aggregations in Australia and two feedlots in Indonesia. Across more than 3.2m hectares of land, the CPC team care for more than 300,000 head of cattle and produce a diverse range of crops.
About you
We are looking for people to join CPC with a proactive, positive and can-do attitude and contribute to an industry that’s the cornerstone of our country’s economy. And you’d be having a pretty good time doing it, too. CPC hires staff from a diverse range of backgrounds with a variety of knowledge, skills and abilities.
About you
You must have TWO or more years full time experience as a Station Hand to apply for this role.
- All cattle operations including mustering, drafting, processing and trucking
- Low stress livestock handling techniques and promote and manage best practice animal welfare for our animals
- Horses riding and two wheel motorbike riding for mustering
- Motor Vehicle and machinery operation (manual vehicles) and pre start checks
- Fence maintenance – straining fences, basic welding and general repairs
- Livestock supplementation programs
- Checking stock watering points and maintaining water facilities and pipelines
- General station maintenance
What you will need:
- Two or more years full time operational experience on a station
- Proven horse riding ability
- Proven skills in cattle handling, processing and mustering
- Ability to muster with a two wheel motorbike
- Current and valid drivers license (manual)
