Eligibility Criteria

Certification

• Must hold a certificate 1 or higher completed in Australia.

Experience 

• At least 1 year of relevant work experience.

Your Duties As A Farm Worker

• Utilising hand tools and agricultural equipment such as farm machinery to plant trees, seeds, seedlings, roots, bulbs and other types of plants.
• Using agricultural equipment and farm machinery to cultivate, fertilize, spray and harvest fruit.
• Chemical spraying of trees and other plants to prevent the spread of diseases, fungi, insects and weeds. Hoeing, thinning and trimming trees and vines, as well as weeding and hoeing row crops.
• Grading, sorting, bunching and packaging product into containers.
• Irrigating land for crop growth.
• Selecting and picking fruit according to size and freshness; discarding decaying and overripe produce.
• Loading fruit containers into trucks.
