Fitter Operator In Visy, Australia Full Time

The opportunity

The person we are looking for will be an Operational Fitter and will be part of our team, supporting production of a busy plant, working rostered shift hours.

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Be reactive to breakdowns minimizing downtime
• Carry out routine checks and planned maintenance to maintain productivity of machines
• Assist in fault finding, troubleshooting and repairs of machinery
• Maintain stock levels of spare parts to assist in making components for repairs
• Update and maintain data records on works carried out
• Uphold and adhere to company policies and procedures in Environmental, Health and Safety

What you will bring to the team

• Hold a Mechanical Trade certificate and post trade qualifications in hydraulics and pneumatics would be desirable
• Packaging industry experience would be of help
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Great work ethic with the ability to work autonomously or part of a team
• Familiar with automation of high speed packaging machines
• Welding and Machining is preferred
• Forklift License
