General Practitioner job in Sharjah, Full Time

A General Practitioner is sought in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, to join the medical team at a reputable hospital. The role involves delivering high-quality Neonatal and Pediatric care in line with the latest evidence-based practices, exercising sound judgment, and adhering to the hospital’s medical staff bylaws, rules, and regulations. The GP will work under the guidance of specialized consultants.

Responsibilities for the General Practitioner:

1. Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and continuous monitoring.
2. Escalate complex or critical neonatal and pediatric cases to specialists for further management.
3. Collaborate with Neonatologists and Pediatricians during significant medical procedures.
4. Maintain meticulous patient records and ensure smooth handovers.
5. Engage in risk assessment and incident reporting as part of the hospital’s risk management initiatives.
6. Work with senior staff to review adverse events and patient feedback to improve care quality and risk management.
7. Provide on-call emergency coverage for neonatal and pediatric emergencies outside of regular hours, according to the roster.
8. Actively participate in the pediatric neonatal care team within the hospital.
9. Commit to ongoing professional development to maintain competence in pediatric neonatal medicine.
10. Perform additional duties that are within the scope of expertise and abilities related to pediatric neonatal care.

Qualifications for this role include:

• Graduation from an accredited medical school with a valid medical practice license.
•  Preferably holding advanced certification in Pediatrics, recognized by the Ministry of Health, or part-completion of recognized memberships, fellowships, or board certifications in Pediatrics.
•  Current licensure in the country of origin and eligibility for a MOH license to practice in Sharjah, UAE.
•  A proactive approach to reviewing and improving service delivery models to meet client and organizational needs.
•  A demonstrated commitment to delivering quality care and engaging in continuous improvement discussions.
•  Proficiency in English is mandatory, with Arabic being a significant advantage.
•  Highly developed communication and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to offer empathetic, patient-centered care.
•  Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office applications, is required.
