What’s the Role About IT Coach?

In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind fostering a lean agile mindset, encouraging team autonomy, and promoting servant leadership within Emirates Group IT. You’ll be instrumental in aligning our portfolio, programme, and team-level work by implementing effective processes and frameworks. Your job will involve researching, designing, and nurturing contemporary working methods based on lean principles across all IT functions.

Your Key Responsibilities:

•  Lead the adoption of scaled agile practices across all IT functions, aligning with the strategy set by our Technology leadership team. Your approach should be practical and adaptable.
•  Work collaboratively with IT functions and business stakeholders to create and support cross-functional Agile Release Trains. These teams will drive business value on a large scale, emphasizing autonomy and empowerment.
•  Provide coaching on lean agile principles, team autonomy, and servant leadership across IT. This includes collaborating with our Tech Academy for training and aligning with Learning & Talent for developmental coaching and culture initiatives.
•  Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in the tech industry, and apply these insights to enhance our working methods.
•  Develop key metrics around time to market, quality, productivity, and engagement, and implement these at various levels in collaboration with relevant teams.
•  Foster communities of practice to enhance skills and knowledge in specific technical or business domains.
•  Ensure effective use of program management and agile project management tools, guiding IT functions to adopt a pragmatic approach.
•  Promote quality practices in autonomous teams, ensuring high standards throughout development.
•  Guide teams in selecting the best delivery practices, whether it’s Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, or a hybrid approach, to maximize outcomes.
•  Enhance transparency and alignment between different levels of the IT organization by implementing suitable processes and outcome-oriented metrics.

What Do You Need to Bring?

•  A degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Product Management, Applied Sciences, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields.
•  At least 8 years of experience in Information Technology and/or Agile Coaching (candidates with slightly less experience are also encouraged to apply).
•  Certification as a SAFe 4 Program Consultant (SPC).
•  Solid background in various IT disciplines such as Program and Delivery Management, Technical Product Management, Architecture and Design, Software Development, DevOps, Automation, and Quality Assurance. This opportunity is specifically for UAE Nationals holding a Khulasat Al Qaid (Family Book).
