Silver Fern Farms Dargaville are looking for a motivated and skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our wider engineering team, responsible for the hands-on day to day electrical reliability improvements, repairs and maintenance within our strong, stable and progressive engineering team.
Our maintenance team is required to work 7am to 4:30pm and as required on a 4 on/4 off 12 hour rotating shift roster, Monday to Sunday with a total of 48 hours minimum a week. The successful applicant will be flexible and happy to adapt to our business needs. In return, we offer competitive salary, ongoing training and development opportunities, and you be joining a stellar team of work mates who not only want to see you succeed but will support you along the way. You will have the opportunity to be involved in projects and installation of new site equipment as well as a wide range of electrical applications across the site. If you are interested in using your electrical skills on a large industrial food processing site, and like the idea of working for one of New Zealand’s largest food exporters, we look forward to hearing from you.
Previous experience in FMCG or transferrable production environments would be an advantage, but the key is the ability to work as part of a team, to identify faults and use analytical and problem-solving skills to provide top level service to the processing plant. Working in a sole charge capacity, all the while being entrenched as part of a maintenance team, candidates will have good interpersonal skills and an attitude for getting stuck in to get the job done as well as thinking outside of the box – we appreciate and encourage new ideas and thought processes about how we can collaborate across our site to ensure the get to the root cause of issues and fix it right – first time.
