Are you a hands-on problem solver who loves to keep things running smoothly? As a Maintenance Officer at BaptistCare, you’ll be the go-to person for all things maintenance, ensuring our facilities are top-notch and our clients are happy. You’ll work under limited supervision, tackling a variety of tasks that keep our site in tip-top shape.
• Perform reactive and preventative maintenance on buildings, plant and equipment, furniture, fittings, gardens, lawns, and carparks.
• Ensure timely completion of preventative maintenance tasks.
• Maintain asset acquisition and disposals in Maintenance Connection.
• Manage site vehicles and loading dock areas.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Site Manager on budget planning and asset management.
• Purchase and order equipment in accordance with organizational policies.
• Report and manage resident and staff complaints regarding maintenance services.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with staff and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and BaptistCare policies.

• Minimum of 12 months experience in preventative and reactive maintenance systems.
• Hands-on property maintenance experience.
• Understanding of operational budget processes.
• Experience managing property-related contractors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Fire Safety Officer training (or willingness to undertake) – desirable
• Experience in an Aged Care or Health Care environment
• A genuine alignment to BaptistCare’s vision, purpose and values.
