Job Purpose of A Maintenance Technician

The primary responsibility in this position is to maintain and carry out preventative maintenance programs and repair the rail equipment.

Eligibility Criteria

Certification

• Qualified NSW Electrical licence – CERT III.

Experience

• Proven experience as an electrician conducting fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, reading schematics, and connecting switchboards.
• Maintenance Experience ( Preventative & Corrective).

Skills Desired

• Disciplined with good communication skills A strong understanding of PLC and SCADA systems would be advantageous.
• Aware of rotating shifts.

Your Duties As A Maintenance Technician

• Conduct Electrical control systems component calibrations, fault diagnosis, maintenance and retrofit repair on rail equipment.
• Interrogation and diagnostic testing on equipment installed on the Sydney Light Rail System or Sydney Metro System.
• Actively maintain and repair tram /train equipment including safety procedures (preventive and corrective maintenance).
• Completing works in a fixed workshop and field service environment.
• Soldering, labelling, wiring and installation of new electro – mechanical equipment.
