The Ministry of Energy, Petroleum Division is seeking applications from devoted and motivated candidates for the post of Mining Specialist on contract basis. It is a Pakistan Government’s federal and executive level ministry responsible to ensure availability and security of sustainable supply of oil and gas for economic development and strategic requirements of Pakistan and to coordinate development of natural resources of energy and minerals. The Ministry was converted into Petroleum Division in August 2017 and the division was merged into Ministry of Energy. It formulates policies, establishes regulatory frameworks, manages petroleum resources, plans for energy needs, monitors markets, ensures safety and environmental standards and engages in international cooperation to promote sustainable energy development and ensure energy security.
Overview of Job of A Mining Specialist
Responsible for conducting geological surveys, planning mining operations and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations in the mining industry.
Pre Requisites For A Mining Specialist
- Bachelor of Engineering in Mining Engineering from any HEC recognized Institution/University.
- Valid membership of Pakistan Engineering Council.
- Minimum 20 years of post-qualification experience primarily in mineral exploration, planning, development, operations, extractions, mineral economics, and mineral sector related frameworks (laws/Acts, policy, regulatory, and fiscal).
- Maximum age limit 62 years.
