OPD Nurse job (Specializing in Dermatology/Plastic Surgery) in Dubai Full Time

We are seeking a dedicated OPD Nurse to join our dynamic Outpatient Department, focusing on Dermatology and Plastic Surgery. This role is pivotal in providing top-notch patient care and supporting our mission to deliver service that is not only faster and safer but also friendlier.

Job Role of OPD Nurse:

• The ideal candidate will be instrumental in gathering comprehensive patient information through keen observation, effective communication, and thorough physical assessments.
• You will be responsible for completing detailed nursing histories and physical examinations for all patients upon their arrival at the outpatient department.

•  Diligently record vital signs and pain assessments, ensuring all patient interactions are documented in progress notes.
•  Develop and implement care plans tailored to each outpatient visit, prioritizing tasks based on doctor’s instructions and patient needs.
•  Respond swiftly with nursing interventions when patient conditions change, considering their age and specific circumstances.
•  Become proficient with department-specific medical equipment and grow into a clinical expert within the outpatient setting.
•  Maintain meticulous patient records, adhering to CSEC standards and policies.
•  Proactively manage emergencies, address unsafe practices, and initiate timely interventions.
•  Drive improvements in care standards and foster a culture of change within the department.
•  Uphold patient confidentiality and ensure a customer satisfaction-driven environment.
•  Collaborate with medical staff and other departments to maximize patient and staff satisfaction.
•  Efficiently use supplies and equipment, participate in inventory checks, and practice cost-effective measures.
•  Communicate significant administrative and clinical matters to the Nursing Team Leader or Director of Nursing.
•  Serve as a mentor to new nursing staff, employing critical thinking in problem-solving and decision-making processes.
•  Promote a culture of accountability and no-blame in incident reporting.
•  Engage in professional communication with external agencies, including the DHA and the Ministry of Health.
•  Stay abreast of nursing trends and integrate evidence-based practices into patient care.
•  Identify and address the health education needs of patients and families.
•  Participate in mandatory training programs on health, safety, and infection control.

Professional Development:

• Adhere to the Nursing Code of Ethics and Conduct for CSEC, Emirates Nursing Association, and DHA.
•  Operate within the established Scope of Practice for Registered Nurses.
•  Keep a personal development folder documenting all educational activities and professional growth.
•  Maintain registration with the Nursing licensing board and DHA.
• Engage in annual performance reviews, setting professional and personal objectives for the year ahead.

Qualifications:

•  Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
•  Valid nursing license from the country of origin and DHA license to practice in Dubai.
•  At least 2 years of relevant post-qualification nursing experience.
•  Certification as a BLS/ACLS provider.
•  Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus but not mandatory.
