Reporting to the General Manager Sales and Marketing, you will be responsible for leading the sales and operations planning process to ensure it aligns with Huon’s growth and financial objectives.
The role
- Working full-time Monday to Friday you will:
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, setting clear performance goals, conducting regular reviews, and fostering internal growth and succession planning.
- Set strategy for forecast accuracy benchmarks, balancing customer demand with operational capacity, and conducting monthly reviews to adjust for changes in demand or supply.
- Manage supply chain coordination and export processes, ensuring 100% compliance with documentation requirements (e.g., certificates of origin, health certificates).
- Negotiate and maintain competitive service agreements with freight and carrier stakeholders, ensuring alignment with Huon’s business objectives, and conducting quarterly performance reviews to adjust terms as needed.
About you
- You have proven experience or tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Transport & Distribution, or Operations Management (S&OP) or related fields, emphasizing operations efficiency and tactical execution.
- You have experience managing large-scale logistics projects, ensuring they stay within scope, budget, and timelines while identifying and mitigating risks.
- You have strong leadership abilities, including the capacity to inspire, develop, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong business acumen and the ability to work independently.
- Proven skills in strategic stakeholder management, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization and continuously improve processes.
