A painter applies paint and coatings to surfaces, transforming their appearance and ensuring a high quality finish.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification

• High School Certificate
• Industrial Training Institute Certificate / Diploma (2 year duration) in painting and decorating or equivalent (post high school).

Experience

• Minimum three year experience.

Your Duties

• Conduct Inspections to determine the need for painting.
• Preparing painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint.
• Mixing, matching, and applying paints and other finishes to various surfaces
• Providing decorative and faux finishes.
• Runway markings.
• Pavement marking.
• Road markings.

Skills Required

• Use of painting & decorating hand and power tools
• Surface preparation.
• Wallpapering and hangings to walls and ceilings .
• Application of decorative effects.
• Painting skirting.
• Roads and Pavement marking.
• Painting plain and paneled doors and architrave.
