We own and manage farms, factories, and distribution channels, ensuring complete control over the essential aspects of bringing livestock from paddock to plate. We are seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration Supervisor to oversee our refrigeration systems and ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and train a team of refrigeration technicians, ensuring they adhere to safety protocols and operational standards
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of refrigeration systems
- Conduct regular inspections and performance evaluations of refrigeration equipment
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to refrigeration, including environmental guidelines and safety standards
- Manage inventory of refrigeration parts and supplies
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance
- Develop and enforce safety protocols and procedures for refrigeration operations
- Work closely with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimize disruptions to operations
Experiences
- In-depth knowledge of refrigeration systems, including commercial and industrial
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues quickly
- Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards in refrigeration
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in refrigeration systems
- Relevant certifications (e.g., EPA Section 608, HVAC/R certification) preferred
- Experienced in two stage ammonia systems (highly regarded)
- Ammonia Refrigeration Operators Course Certified (highly regarded)
