Security Guard Job at Cameco in Canada Part Time

Key Responsibilities of Security Guard:

• Patrol assigned areas to detect and prevent security breaches.
• Monitor security cameras and alarms.
• Respond to security incidents and emergencies.
• Enforce security policies and procedures.
• Provide assistance and support to employees and visitors.
• As a member of the security team, you will provide security services to control access to and from the site for people and/or materials, to meet the requirements of the Nuclear Safety and Control Act and regulations.
• You will perform routine patrols of the yard, buildings and controlled access areas; assist with emergency detection and response; monitor vehicles and materials being brought on and off site and perform administrative functions to support these and other related office/switchboard activities.

Requirements for Security Guard:

• Valid security guard license.
• Previous experience in security or a related field is preferr.
• Strong observation and surveillance skills.
• Security related diploma, or equivalent experience
• Ability to work within established procedures and safe work practices.
• Excellent communication, problem solving skills and the ability to work in a team environment are essential.
• Familiarization with WHMIS
• Certification in Standard First Aid and CPR preferred.
