Scope of Work of A Senior Foreman (Welder)

Plan, organize and supervise welding activities onboard and workshop and ensure to meet project safety, quality, productivity and schedule requirements.

Eligible Candidate?

Qualification

• Diploma in engineering or equivalent.
• Training in NDT /Quality control.

Experience

• Familiarity with welding works with at least 5 to 10 years of experience as Foreman or Lead position.

Certification

• CSWIP 3.1or AWS certificate as welding inspector will be considered as an added advantage.

Your Job Responsibilities As A Senior Foreman (Welder) At Dubai Ports (DP) World

• Verify the safe execution of welding activities onsite and check machine/man and material.
• Read specifications, work list and pre planning job (Sequence of job, man power, equipment).
• Develop & review project risk analysis.
• Develop work plan.
• Monitor welding execution and define alternate process to save cost and time if any.
• Attend training for welding related activity required by the department.
• Develop / review man power request and target report prepared by foreman.
• Provide work done reports and descriptions to Invoicers / Estimators.
• Report work progress.
• Liaise with department planning section for productivity measurements.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• Knowledge of NDE / NDT techniques.
• Knowledge and understanding of special welding procedures.
• Basic knowledge of ferrous and non ferrous materials.
• Knowledge and experience in ship repair and new building yard.
• Very good knowledge in technical terms and report writing skills.
• Good knowledge of English languages.
