Production Crew Required at Harlow Farm in USA Full Time Part Time

The crew participates in all activities for planting, maintenance, and harvesting of diversified ground crops. Responsibilities of Production Crew:

  • Your responsibilities will vary depending on the season and farm’s specific needs, but some common tasks may include:
  • You’ll play a vital role in getting crops started, carefully planting seeds or seedlings and ensuring proper spacing and conditions for growth.
  • Throughout the growing season, you’ll be responsible for tasks like weeding, watering, and monitoring plant health to ensure optimal yields.
  • When the time comes, you’ll be part of the team that harvests fruits, vegetables, or other produce, using both hand tools and potentially some machinery.
  • For farms raising livestock, you might assist with feeding, watering, and general animal care tasks, ensuring the animals’ well-being.
  • After harvest, you might help with sorting and packing the produce or other products for distribution or sale.
  • Contributing to the overall upkeep of the farm might involve tasks like fence repair, cleaning equipment sheds, or assisting with irrigation systems.
  • Greenhouse planting and transplanting seedlings,
  • Washing, culling, and prepping produce for storage and distribution in our packing house.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • The role requires you to work quickly and efficiently. Must be willing to work in varied weather.
  • Field work until mid-December or when snow prevents outside work.
  • Then work shifts to the barn, which will be 50-60 degrees.
  • Work is physically demanding, requiring workers to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for long periods of time.
  • Workers must have ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently.
  • Teamwork experience and the ability to be a team player are a must.

Wages & compensation: $13.25/hour
