Test Barn Assistant Job at Global Gaming RP LLC in USA Full Time

Global Gaming RP LLC is seeking a test barn assistant to join their team in 1 Remington Place, Oklahoma City, OK 73111, USA. As a test barn assistant, selected candidate will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the test barn, including the care and handling of racehorses. Key Responsibilities of Test Barn Assistant:

• Assist with the care and handling of racehorses in the test barn.
• Prepare horses for testing, including grooming and tacking.
• Assist with administering medications and treatments to horses as directed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the test barn.
• Assist with record-keeping and data entry as needed.
• Change water buckets after each sample is taken to prevent contamination of samples.
• If a urine sample cannot be taken, then a blood sample is required.
• Each sample is labeled and sent to the lab for testing.
• General clean-up of the test barn area
• Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies.

• Previous experience working with horses preferred.
• Knowledge of horse care and handling practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must have at least two trained, sound, and athletic horses in the necessary level of fitness capable of supporting an outrider in his duties.
• Farm and/or horse related experiences.
• Must be able to work effectively with peers, staff members, and regulatory agency personnel.
• Strong written and oral communication skills required.
• Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Knowledge of the rules and regulations as specified in the OHRC rule rook.
