Cafeteria Assistant Job at Home Hardware Stores in Canada Full Time

Responsibilities of Cafeteria Assistant:

• Assist with serving meals as quickly as possible, refilling steamers, and condiment containers as needed.
• Assist with food preparation.
• Assist with handling cash and point of sale system during breaks and meals.
• Assist with maintaining cafeteria and kitchen as to cleanliness, condition of equipment and furnishings, food quality and ensures adherence to established standards.
• Stock vending machines.
• Assist with grocery order put away.

Requirements for Job:

• High school diploma with experience in food preparation and basic knowledge of cafeteria functions.
• Must have or be willing to obtain a Food Handler Certification.
• Familiar with proper sanitary practices of maintenance of kitchen and handling of food.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting.
• Willingness to work additional hours if needed.
